Bereaved military children supported by law firm’s fundraising efforts
The lives of bereaved military children have been made a little brighter thanks to the fundraising efforts of Wiltshire law firm Goughs.
The firm elected Scotty’s Little Soldiers as its charity of the year 2024-25, due in part to the work the firm does with the military community.
Through a series of fundraising events including bake sales, a sponsored spin-a-thon, a 25km walk in Henley-on-Thames and much more, the Goughs team raised over £5,000 for Scotty’s.
Emma Taylor, the partner at Goughs who oversees the charitable arm of the firm said: “We were all in admiration of the work undertaken by Scotty’s Little Soldiers in caring for children at a time when they need it the most and therefore really wanted to help them make a real difference.”
Nikki Scott, founder of Scotty’s Little Soldiers said: “Huge thanks to everyone at and connected to Goughs for raising such a significant sum of money to support bereaved military children.
“We currently support 737 children and young people by delivering the best emotional support, providing outstanding development opportunities and giving them the chance to smile again. We couldn’t do this without brilliant supporters like you.”
Goughs’ charity of the year for 2025-26 is Home Start North Wiltshire, which supports families who are going through difficult times, helping to prevent family stress becoming family crisis.
