Turnover and headcount up at accountancy firm Albert Goodman
Accountancy firm Albert Goodman has reported significant growth for the financial year ending April 30 2024, with increased turnover, the opening of a new office, and increased staffing levels.
The firm reported an annual turnover of £21.4 million – up 17 per cent on the year before.
The Taunton-headquartered company started the financial year with the opening of a new Bristol office.
Forty-one new employees joined the business in the year, as the firm grew its audit team by 25 per cent and its financial planning teams by 22 per cent.
Iain McVicar, managing partner at Albert Goodman, said: “This growth gives us real confidence in our offering and our people.
“We continue to take an ambitious and sustainable approach to expanding our footprint and our services across the south west and beyond”.
“We have brought 41 new people into the business over the last 12 months. This includes 32 trainees.
“We have made two new partner appointments and what is particularly pleasing about this, is that they were internal promotions.”
As well as expanding the team and recording a significant increase in turnover, Albert Goodman has enhanced its presence in both Bristol and Yeovil with the opening of newly renovated grade-A office space.
In August 2023, the firm also achieved B Corp status.
“Achieving B Corp has been a major milestone,” said Iain. This kind of accreditation isn’t something that happens overnight and is a testament to our ongoing commitment to environmental and social goals.”
