Albert Goodman celebrates opening of new Bristol office – and being named best accountancy firm to work for

South West-based chartered accountants, tax consultants and financial planners Albert Goodman last night (Thursday) celebrated the opening of their new Bristol office.

The celebration took place less than a week after the company was named the UK’s Best Accountancy Firm to Work For by Best Companies – for the second year running.

Albert Goodman recently signed a lease on 3,000 square foot of newly renovated grade A office space at King Street – more than twice the size of its previous Bristol hub in Westbury-on-Trym.

Fifteen of the company’s three hundred employees will be based at the city centre office.

But the launch took place in the palatial surroundings of Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, which as managing partner Iain McVicar (pictured left) noted was apt for a company whose heritage dates back 157 years to 1866.

Chris Walford (pictured right), an audit and corporate partner who will lead the Bristol office, said: “This new office is part of our vision for the future. The opening of our new office represents our ambitions within the city and beyond. It is a huge milestone for us and big step forward in our efforts to expand our business and serve our customers.”

Albert Goodman is headquartered in Taunton with offices in Yeovil, Weymouth, and Weston-Super-Mare.
