Albert Goodman launches new charitable foundation
South West-based accountancy and financial planning firm Albert Goodman has formally launched its new charitable initiative, the Albert Goodman Foundation, at a special event at Bristol Aquarium.
The new foundation has been established to provide grants and support to charities and community organisations across Taunton and the wider South West, reinforcing the firm’s long-standing commitment to making a positive difference in the communities it serves.
The launch event brought together clients, partners, and members of the regional business community, with proceeds from the evening supporting the foundation’s early activity.
The Albert Goodman Foundation has been set up to advance a broad range of charitable causes, with particular focus on education, youth and social mobility in the areas in which the firm has offices. Funding will be directed towards organisations, voluntary bodies, and individuals, as determined by its trustees.
Founded in 1866 and headquartered in Taunton, Albert Goodman has built a strong reputation as an independent firm supporting businesses and individuals across the South West, alongside a long-standing culture of charitable giving and community engagement.
The creation of a dedicated foundation marks a significant step in formalising and expanding that impact, enabling the firm to provide more structured and sustained support to causes across the region.
Michelle Ferris, Audit Partner & Head of Charities at Albert Goodman, said: “As a business rooted in the South West, we’ve always believed in giving back to the communities that have supported our growth.
“The Albert Goodman Foundation allows us to take that commitment further, providing meaningful support to charities and community groups making a real difference across the region. We are incredibly excited to see the impact the Albert Goodman Foundation will have on the communities we work in.”
The launch builds on Albert Goodman’s existing approach to charitable activity, which includes its annual ‘Charity of the Year’ initiative and firm-wide fundraising efforts, driven by employees across its network of offices.
