Mogers Drewett supports local families at Christmas with festive foodbank campaign

South West legal and financial planning firm Mogers Drewett has launched a campaign to help struggling families this Christmas by supporting local foodbanks.

The firm is currently accepting donations of non-perishable food items at its offices in Bath, Wells, Sherborne and Frome.

The much-needed donations will go to foodbanks local to the firm’s four offices which have seen a surge in demand in the run-up to Christmas. They include the following organisations:

Genesis Trust in Bath: Mogers Drewett has been a proud supporter of the Genesis Trust for several years. The trust’s remarkable work continues to make a difference to local families, and the firm is excited to team up with them again to bring aid to those who need it most.

Wells Storehouse: In partnership with accountants Old Mill, Mogers Drewett is also collecting donations for Wells Storehouse. Previously known as Wells Vineyard Foodbank, the Storehouse’s dedicated team provides essential services, serving those in need with food and compassion.

Sherborne Food Bank: Since 2011, Sherborne Food Bank has been run by volunteers who help feed local individuals and families in crisis. With 80-plus volunteers collecting, sorting, and delivering food parcels, the organisation serves a wide, largely rural area. For those in isolated locations without access to transport, the foodbank’s delivery service is a lifeline.

Fair Frome: Food parcels are carefully curated to provide up to six days of nourishment, alongside extras, thanks to partnerships with local agencies and food initiatives across the South West. Referrals from health professionals, schools, and support services ensure that food reaches the people who need it most.

Daizee Rocker-Cook, marketing and events executive at Mogers Drewett, said: “We are once again setting up foodbank collection points for clients and staff to donate non-perishable goods during the festive period, when many families struggle to make ends meet.

“This year, we’re going further by directly supporting local foodbanks in every community where we have an office. So this season, let’s come together to make a real difference.

“Whether it’s a can of soup, a bag of pasta, or a jar of peanut butter, every donation counts. Non-perishable food items are essential to keeping our local foodbanks stocked, ensuring that no one in our community goes hungry this Christmas.

“We are also accepting cash donations so look out for our cash collection tins in each office.”
