Grundon wins award for demonstrating that profitability and sustainability go together
Bristol-based waste management expert Grundon has been awarded Predicate status in the ESG Transparency Awards 2025, underlining its continued commitment to transparent and forward-looking sustainability reporting.
The awards honour European organisations that have successfully integrated sustainability principles into their operations and communicate these openly through dedicated reporting.
Grundon’s award for Predicate status is recognition of its demonstration that profitability and sustainability can go hand in hand as a successful strategy for a better future.
The ESG Transparency Evaluation Standard, developed by EUPD Research, draws on the most relevant European and international guidelines, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), the Voluntary SME Standard (VSME), as well as established global benchmarks and cross-industry best practices.
The framework assesses the transparency and accessibility of a company’s reporting, while also evaluating the depth and quality of information across environmental, social, governance, and compliance areas.
Toni Robinson, risk & sustainability director, who led Grundon’s entry into the awards, said: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved Predicate status in the 2025 ESG Transparency Awards.
“This recognition is a real testament to the quality of our sustainability reporting and the hard work that goes into ensuring each year our report is open, credible and meaningful.
“Transparency is at the heart of how Grundon operates – it’s about being honest with ourselves and everyone around us, whether that be our employees, customers, suppliers, or the wider public, as we continue to improve and make a positive impact.
“This achievement reinforces Grundon’s role as a responsible and forward-thinking organisation committed to continuous improvement in sustainability performance and communication.
“We’ll continue to build on this success as we strive to make an even more positive impact for people, the planet, and our communities.”
