Wansbroughs lands six Legal 500 rankings as three partners earn top individual honours
Wiltshire law firm Wansbroughs has secured six practice‑area rankings in The Legal 500 UK 2027 directory, with more than 20 lawyers individually recommended and three partners singled out for leading roles.
The Devizes‑based firm was placed at Tier 2 for Agriculture and Estates and for Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate, and at Tier 3 for Dispute Resolution (Commercial Litigation), Corporate and Commercial, and Real Estate (Commercial Property). Its Family team was ranked at Tier 4.
Naomi Owen was named a Leading Partner, while Emma Jewell and Tom Britten were recognised as Next Generation Partners – distinctions that highlight their technical expertise, leadership and the confidence they inspire among clients and peers.
Anna Wensley Stock, co‑managing partner, said the results reflected the “commitment, technical expertise and personal service” colleagues bring daily, adding that client feedback made the recognition “especially meaningful”.
“We are incredibly proud to be recognised once again in The Legal 500 UK rankings. This achievement belongs to colleagues across the firm, whose expertise, dedication and care make a real difference to our clients every day,” she said.
Client comments in the directory praised the firm’s responsiveness, clarity and strategic advice. One described the team as “made up of excellent lawyers, both at the junior and senior end”, while another said its “efficiency and responsiveness are very unusual”.
The Agriculture and Estates team, now ranked as a standalone practice for the first time, advises landowners and landed estates on increasingly complex matters. Clients singled out Andrew Jenkins, Gavin Smith and Alan Ciechan as “the best operators I have dealt with in this field”.
In Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate, the private client team handles wills, trusts, tax, probate and succession planning for substantial estates, with clients highlighting its “proactive” approach and “strong estate and trust practice”.
The Dispute Resolution team was praised for its “wide range of commercial litigation experience and capability in areas where many London firms do not”, while the Corporate and Commercial group won plaudits for “first class” client care and clear, prompt communication.
In Commercial Property, clients described partners including Jonathan Bruton and Oliver Price as “city standard”, noting their ability to distil complex issues into “manageable matters with clever and pragmatic solutions”.
The Family team was commended for its “breadth and depth of experience” and dedication to clients through divorce, separation and children matters.
Founded in 1987, The Legal 500 assesses firms through independent research and client feedback across more than 100 jurisdictions.
