Chippenham businesswoman wins parliamentary award

A Chippenham businesswoman has been hailed an MP HERo for female enterprise.

Denise O’Leary MBE added another accolade to an already-bulging cabinet trophy, receiving an MP HERo Award from her local MP, Sarah Gibson.

Denise is the director of award-winning bid-writing business Purpol Marketing. With a specialist focus on the construction sector, Denise has supported clients in securing over £4 billion in contracts—demonstrating the powerful impact of her knowledge, dedication, and business acumen.

Widely respected for her leadership, Denise has received 54 international business awards in recognition of her excellence and innovation. She is a passionate advocate for small and medium-sized enterprises and champions inclusive economic growth through her work, speaking engagements, and mentoring.

During the pandemic, Denise led one of the UK’s largest Kickstart programmes, delivering training and employment support to 229 young people over 22 months.

Her efforts equipped participants with valuable marketing skills and gave them a foundation for future success at a time of great national uncertainty.

Awarded an MBE for services to business, Denise is a shining example of responsible enterprise and a powerful role model for women in business.

Through her work, she continues to deliver meaningful change for individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.
