Wiltshire law firm appoints two new equity partners

Wiltshire law firm Forrester Sylvester Mackett has appointed solicitors Jane Healey and Stewart Donald as equity partners.

Jane, who joined the Chippenham-headquartered firm in 2019, heads the Frome office and became a salaried partner in 2020.

The firm has announced that a new, expanded office will be opening in the Somerset town in the summer.

Jane specialises in state administration and probate, lasting powers of attorney, wills, and inheritance tax planning, and also assists high-net-worth individuals.

“This is a very exciting opportunity for me, and I am very pleased to accept the position. I look forward to working alongside my fellow Partners and the wider firm to continue serving our clients in the best way possible,” said Jane.

Stewart qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and joined Forrester Sylvester Mackett in 2017 and became a salaried partner in 2019.

He is based in the firm’s Chippenham office and specialises in the full range of private client work including the administration of trusts and estates, personal tax planning advice, preparing wills and powers of attorney and making applications to the Court of Protection.

Stewart is a full member of The Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners and is a member of both Lifetime Lawyers – formerly Solicitors for the Elderly – and the Private Client Section of the Law Society.

““I feel immensely privileged to have been given the role and I will do my level best to ensure that I repay the faith that the firm have had in me,” said Stewart.

Senior partner Michael Cavalla said: “I am delighted to welcome Jane and Stewart as equity partners of the practice.

“I have worked with both of them for many years and have seen firsthand their dedication to providing their clients with an excellent service.”

Forrester Sylvester Mackett has offices in Chippenham, Frome, Malmesbury, Swindon, Trowbridge, and Warminster.
