Digital marketing agency Jazzbones celebrates 20th anniversary

Digital marketing agency Jazzbones is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2025.

The Swindon-based company was launched by entrepreneur Nathan Sandhu in 2005 as a “one-person creative studio.”

Today, says Nathan, it is “a thriving team of seriously talented creatives.”

Reflecting on the changes in the digital world since Jazzbones launched in 2005, Nathan said: “When I started Jazzbones in 2005, the design and branding landscape was like dial-up internet: slow and clunky, but full of potential.

“Social media was just a twinkle in Zuckerberg’s eye, and the idea of a responsive website? Pure sci-fi.

“Fast forward 20 years, and the industry’s been through more revolutions than a DJ spinning vinyl at a 90s rave.”

Those changes have included:

The Digital Boom: Websites evolved from digital brochures to dynamic, user-focused experiences. Creativity and functionality had to become best mates.
The Rise of Social Media: Suddenly, brands had to stop shouting and start chatting. Authentic storytelling became the name of the game.
Data-Driven Design: Turns out, the numbers don’t just crunch themselves. Analytics now guide creative decisions to deliver real impact.
Sustainability Matters: Branding grew a conscience, and we’re loving every moment of pushing sustainable, ethical designs.
Canva and AI: With tools like Canva democratising design and AI reshaping how we approach creative work, the industry now balances professional expertise with accessible, tech-driven solutions. Staying relevant means embracing these innovations without losing that human touch.

“At Jazzbones, we’ve rolled with every punch and trend, making sure our clients’ brands stay ahead of the game. Change isn’t just a buzzword here; it’s what we thrive on.”

Over the past 20 years, Jazzbones has built a reputation as a leader in the fields of branding and graphic design to web development and digital marketing.

It has worked with big names and local businesses – including Business Biscuit, which was rebranded and redesigned from the ground up by Jazzbones in 2021.

The firm has also remained committed to helping local charities and good causes, and in 2024 held a competition to find three local organisations that would receive a £10,000 digital makeover.

Voluntary Action Swindon, mobile homeless shelter The Bus Shelter Project, and Wicked Weather Watch, an organisation that educates young people about climate change, were the lucky recipients.

Looking to the future, Nathan says: “As we celebrate this milestone, we’re not resting on our laurels.

“The next chapter of Jazzbones promises even greater creativity, deeper client partnerships, and a continued commitment to making a positive impact.

“We’re excited to embrace the opportunities and challenges that the future holds, armed with the experience of the past 20 years and the passion that has always driven us.”
