Britain’s Best Office Dog crowned by Bath firm

Bath-based workplace design company Interaction has announced the grand winner of its national competition to find Britain’s Best Office Dog.

Dog owners across the UK have been nominating their canine colleagues and sharing photos of their cute pets at work, with monthly winners announced throughout 2025.

The aim of the competition is to highlight the important role that our four-legged friends play in workplace wellbeing.

Britain’s Best Office Dog is Ruby, a Staffy X Bully, from Johnsons 1871 Ltd based in Cheshire.

Ruby and her proud owner, Sadie Prince, have won a luxurious two-night stay at one of Britain’s finest dog-friendly hotels.

Ruby was judged the UK’s top office pooch by a panel of experts including Emily Birch who is a clinical animal behaviourist and owner of The Office Dog, which helps businesses create pet-friendly workspaces.

Judges also included Dr Eloise Warrilow, who is an occupational psychologist and expert on pet-friendly workplaces, and Garry James from FOUNDRY which operates dog-friendly coworking offices.

The judges said Ruby truly deserves the title of Best Office Dog, adding that she is a role model for a breed that is often misunderstood.

Dieter Wood, managing director of Interaction, said: “Congratulations to Ruby who saw off strong canine competition to become the UK’s top office dog. Our judges were bowled over by her loveable personality and ever-wagging tail which has won the hearts of work colleagues.

“We also want to send a big thank you to all the other playful pets who took part in our contest and helped make it such a barking success. All the dogs, their owners and the people they work with are all winners in our eyes.

“The aim of the competition is to celebrate our furry friends who make our workplaces better by boosting morale and mental health. We hope to have inspired businesses across the country to think creatively about how they can support their employees and boost workplace wellbeing.”
