Promotion for commercial property lawyer

A commercial property lawyer at Wansbroughs who joined the firm as an admin assistant three years ago has qualified as a solicitor.

Mia Down joined the Devizes-based firm in 2023, working in the private client department before progressing to a paralegal role.

She started her training contract in September 2024 and has since completed seats in both dispute resolution and commercial property.

During her training, Mia supported some of the team’s most complex and high‑value commercial property matters, including multimillion‑pound strategic land acquisitions, large estate sales and intricate development projects involving overage, minerals and multi‑party negotiations.

Partner Chris Ware, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Mia as a newly qualified solicitor in the team.

“Having worked closely with her throughout her training, I’ve seen firsthand her dedication, technical ability and calm approach to even the most complex matters.

“She’s already a hugely valued member of the team, and I’m excited to see her continue to grow and make an impact in her new role.”
