Commercial property expert joins Wiltshire law firm
Wiltshire law firm Wansbroughs has a new managing associate to the firm’s commercial property team.
Richard Bowater advises a diverse client base, including high‑net‑worth individuals, major companies, families, and entrepreneurs, providing practical, high‑quality advice tailored to their goals, and brings 20 years’ experience in the commercial property field.
Richard will be assisting clients with all aspects of the commercial property team’s work, including sales and purchases, landlord and tenant matters, and property finance. His expertise spans a wide range of non‑contentious commercial property work, spanning transactions from the routine to complex, high‑value deals.
With over 20 years’ experience in commercial property law, Richard started his career at Withy King – now RWK Goodman – and has worked at several respected firms across the region before joining Wansbroughs in 2026.
He is known for his efficient, pragmatic, and goal‑driven approach, helping clients navigate technical transactions while identifying and mitigating risks early.
Partner Neil Patterson said: “We are thrilled to welcome Richard to the commercial property team.
“His depth of experience, particularly in complex acquisitions, disposals, and commercial leasing, brings real strength to the department.
“Richard’s pragmatic style and his ability to quickly identify solutions make him an invaluable addition for both our clients and our wider team. We’re excited to have him on board.”
