National Self Build & Renovation Centre launches ‘late-night shopping experience’ for self-builders and home improvers
The National Self Build & Renovation Centre in Swindon is launching a ‘late-night shopping experience’ for self-builders and home improvers.
The first late-night event will be held on Thursday, April 28 until 9pm, and is aimed at helping people discover the benefits of self-building, or progressing an ongoing home project – at a more convenient time during the week.
The open evening will feel a little bit different to a normal visit to the NSBRC, with visitors being provided with a free goody bag on arrival, with some handy giveaways and exclusive discounts.
At 7pm there will be a masterclass talk introducing ‘self build essentials’ and this first evening will also feature a talk on ‘finding land’ along with guided tour of the fabulous, life-size, educational exhibits on offer.
Harvey Fremlin, managing director, said: “We are always open six days a week, but wanted to make visiting the NSBRC even easier – so we’re offering these brand new open evenings across the next three months.
“We want to really look after our visitors and make their visit an enjoyable experience as well as informative.
“We’ll be offering good, hot food, lots of engagement via our talks and tours, and great advice.
“Hopefully we can show people that self-building your own home is far more accessible than you might imagine, especially with new government-backed initiatives like the ‘Help to Build’ scheme.”
Further late-night sessions – which are being held in celebration of the NSBRC’s 15th anniversary – will be held on Thursday, May 26 and Tuesday, June 28.
