Interaction wins BCO excellence award for Halo office fit-out
Workplace design and build company Interaction has won a prestigious award for creating Osborne Clarke’s state-of-the-art office in Bristol.
Bath-based Interaction scooped the Fit Out of the Year Award at the British Council for Offices’ (BCO) South of England and South Wales Awards Dinner at Cardiff’s City Hall.
The award recognises Interaction’s design work creating Osborne Clarke’s five floor flexible workplace in the landmark Halo building, one of the UK’s most sustainable office developments. The BCO awards are seen as the benchmark for excellence in workplaces.
Interaction was commissioned to design and fit-out Osborne Clarke’s Bristol workplace with a focus on wellbeing, inclusivity and sustainability. Highlights include indoor gardens with flexible workspaces, yoga and spin studios, and restaurant with a rooftop terrace that offers stunning views of Bristol.

In keeping with strict sustainability criteria, the Halo fit-out was designed with WELL Building and Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology (BREEAM) certifications in mind. Sustainable materials were used throughout the workspace, including reclaimed clothing materials and recycled plastics.
Interaction’s managing director Dieter Wood said: “Osborne Clarke’s Halo office was a major design project for us which focussed heavily on workplace wellbeing and sustainability. So we’re extremely proud to have been recognised for our work in this landmark Bristol building.”
Lara Burch, head of Osborne Clarke’s Bristol office, said: “Interaction really understood our brief and delivered a standout workspace that has wellbeing, agile working and sustainability embedded in every design element. We’re delighted that the Interaction team has been recognised by BCO for our Halo fit-out.”
Interaction now goes forward to compete with other regional winners at the National Awards Dinner on October 8 at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House hotel in London.
