NSBRC gears up for biggest event of the year
The National Self Build & Renovation Centre is gearing up for its biggest event of the year.
The National Self Build & Renovation Show – billed as a must-visit event for people planning to build and renovate their home – will see thousands of homeowners visit the centre on Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12.
A huge lineup of experts will offer one-to-one advice on everything from building an entire house to retrofitting an existing one with energy-saving tech like solar panels and heat pumps.
The massive 67,000 sq ft exhibition area features full-sized demonstration houses, and companies offering a range of services from trade – like construction, electrical, and plumbing – and professional services, including architects and planning experts.
Theatres and meeting rooms will host masterclasses and seminars on a range of topics.
Attendance is free if booked in advance through the website at https://www.nsbrc.co.uk/whats-on/our-events/the-national-self-build-and-renovation-show Tickets are £12 per adult on the door.
NSBRC managing director Harvey Fremlin said: “This event is the perfect opportunity for visitors to be inspired, gather information and talk to genuine experts who will be delighted to help answer your questions and offer advice.
“If you are considering – or just starting – a new build, renovating a tired property, or simply looking to create new space then we will have talks, tours and advice tailored to you.
“Our show highlights will include discussions around how we can we mitigate against rising energy bills, and other increasing costs, in our homes.
“A range of experts explore the technologies and methods available to us, including; improving insulation, air source heat pumps, solar panels, electric vehicles, and much more.”
The National Self Build & Renovation Centre is the UK’s only permanent venue for independent homebuilding advice and support. It is located at Lydiard Fields, Swindon – just off Junction 16 of the M4.
