SWIG Finance
Lending on potential, not collateral
SWIG Finance is a people-based company providing loans and support to help smaller businesses in the South and West Country to grow.
SWIG base their lending decisions on potential rather than collateral. This means that they can often support businesses when algorithm-driven lenders can’t.
About SWIG
As a not-for-profit social enterprise, SWIG is passionate about bringing social and economic benefits to people, places and the business community in the South and West Country.
In 2023/24, they lent £14m to 500 businesses, helping to create and secure more than 700 jobs and generate £71.5m in social impact.
SWIG Finance is growing every year. In 2024, SWIG increased its headcount to 21 employees.
Award winning finance
During 2023, SWIG were proud to secure three prestigious award wins; the South West Business Masters Investment Award and Professional Regional Services Award, and Future Leap’s Festival of Sustainable Business Social Sustainability Award.
SWIG said, “These are recognition of the work done by our team in ensuring our loans are more than just money – we seek to help build businesses, add impact and support sustainable, responsible growth in our region.”
