SWIG Finance appoints business manager for Wiltshire

Growing SME lender SWIG Finance has appointed a new business manager for Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.

Amanda Sheppard has over 23 years of experience in the financial services sector, most recently as an associate relationship manager at Lloyds Bank working within the trading business sector of mid corporates providing financial solutions to businesses trading on a global scale.

Amanda also has in-depth experience supporting SMEs in the retail, leisure, agricultural and commercial sectors throughout the South and West.

Amanda was a voluntary charity champion for Lloyds Bank and was responsible for managing activities to raise funds for the Lloyds charity partners raising £150,000 over 10 years, including a sponsored parachute jump, raising £3,000 for The Enham Trust, for her 40th birthday.

In her spare time, Amanda likes to spend quality time with her daughter, is a keen tennis player, and a member of the Winchester and Portsmouth Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers.

“Supporting local communities is important to me, and so it’s great to be part of an organisation that puts helping local communities to grow and prosper at the forefront of what they do,” said Amanda.

“I’m looking forward to sharing my experience with the wider business community and helping the businesses in my area to flourish”.

The business lending team at Bristol-based SWIG, which is led by senior business manager Nicola Parker, has doubled in size over the last year to meet increasing demand.

Nicola said: “Having Amanda onboard will help to provide a much-needed presence in the east of our region. We are impressed not only with Amanda’s skillset and background, but also her enthusiasm for supporting small businesses in the South and West to grow”.

SWIG is an official partner of British Business Bank’s Start Up Loans scheme and recently reached a landmark £15 million in lending backed by Triodos Bank to 250 small businesses across the South West.
