Law firm sponsors literature festival for third year
Law firm Wansbroughs has confirmed its sponsorship of Marlborough LitFest for the third year running.
The Devizes-based firm will be sponsoring two key author events this year: the first by broadcaster and author, John Suchet (pictured) on September 25 and the second by actor and writer, Rupert Everett on September 27.
Renowned for his regular broadcasts on Classic FM and his expertise in classical music, acclaimed author John Suchet will take the stage to discuss his most recent book, In Search of Beethoven: A Personal Journey.
In this highly anticipated work, Suchet reflects on his life and career as a broadcaster and foreign correspondent, and the impact Beethoven’s music has had on him throughout his journey.
On Saturday evening, British actor and writer Rupert Everett will present his latest work, The American No – an exhilarating and witty collection of stories inspired by real encounters of love and loss, hope and rejection.
This year’s LitFest will take place from September 25 to 28. The full programme will be announced at the end of June and tickets will go on general sale in July. The festival celebrates the best of writing and books, with more than 40 events for all ages planned across the historic town.
Sarah Alexander, partner at Wansbroughs, said: “As a longstanding supporter, Wansbroughs is thrilled to once again support this flourishing literature event. Each year brings new energy and a broader reach, and we’re extremely proud to play a part in its ongoing success.”
Mary-Vere Parr, Marlborough LitFest chair, said: “We’re so grateful for the support and enthusiasm for Marlborough LitFest shown by Wansbroughs over the last three years.
“It’s such a pleasure to work with an organisation that values and enjoys what we bring to Marlborough and the surrounding area through the festival and associated outreach.”
