CMD Recruitment joins forces with football academy to provide free half term fun for children
Recruitment agency CMD Recruitment joined forces with football academy Future of Football in Melksham to offer children the opportunity to try their skills at football during the recent half term break.
The football training was provided by Future of Football, which offers regular soccer coaching for boys and girls from the age of three.
The recruitment firm originally agreed to sponsor 75 places – but due to overwhelming demand this was extended to 100 places.
Dan Barfoot, operations manager at CMD Recruitment, said: “As a local recruitment company, our mission is to enrich our local community by supporting businesses and individuals within it. As such, each year we look at a way to give back to the community.
“After the recent success of the England’s women’s football team and with households struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, what a better way to give back than to work with another local business and offer children the opportunity to get involved in football?
“Some of the children had never participated in football before so it has been great to offer them that opportunity.
“It was truly fantastic to see the children enjoying the experience run by the excellent team at Future of Football.”
