CMD Recruitment celebrates 20th anniversary
Wiltshire recruitment agency CMD Recruitment is celebrating 20 years of helping bosses find their ideal employees, and candidates find their dream job
The company was founded in 2004 by twins Dan and Tim Barfoot. Both attended Devizes School, and the town is now home to one of five CMD Recruitment offices. The firm also has outlets in Melksham, Calne, Bath, and Swindon.
Looking back on their two decades of success, Dan said, “We’re thrilled to celebrate 20 years of CMD Recruitment.
“Even after tough times like the 2009 recession and the pandemic, 2023 was another record year for us.”
Combined experience of 200 years
The brothers credit their success to three main factors: their dedicated team – boasting a combined total of more than 200 years in recruitment – well-placed offices, and an impressive list of clients.
Tim added, “Our local knowledge and long-standing relationships with clients and candidates set us apart in a busy industry. Listening to our advice and working closely with us gets the best results.”
Dan and Tim focus on being hands-on leaders. Both brothers run their own recruitment desks, staying involved in daily operations.
This approach, they say, boosts staff morale and ensures they stay up-to-date with the market’s demands.
The company is also well known for its support for the local community, backing supporting school events, football teams, food bank donations, charity bike rides, and more.
Their 20th anniversary was marked by a visit to the Melksham office by Chippenham MP and secretary of state for science, innovation and technology Michelle Donelan.
“Tim and Dan are celebrating 20 years of CMD Recruitment in 2024, and there isn’t much they don’t know about jobs in the region. Congratulations to CMD,” she said.
