Bristol Metro Bank donates to Nelson’s Trust
Bristol Metro Bank donated over 50 items and £500 to help support The Nelson Trust as part of its Christmas Community Campaign to spread the warmth this winter.
In recognition of the current cost of living challenges, Metro Bank donated £35,000 to over 70 community charities, all of which are local to its stores, instead of having a Christmas tree in each store.
Nelson’s Trust is a charity that believes change is possible and supports women who may have experienced domestic abuse, drug and alcohol abuse or prison.
Bristol residents and businesses donated items that the charity urgently needed including food, drink, stationery and household items.
“We would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who supported our campaign this Christmas,” said Bristol Metro Bank store manager Steve Gilchrist.
“As a community bank, we are really proud that we could help Nelson’s Trust continue the incredible work that they do and make a difference this Christmas in some small way.”
