Newbury Metro Bank to celebrate International Women’s Day with networking event
Female business owners will take the lead at a networking event at Newbury’s Metro Bank next week to mark International Women’s Day.
Trish Willetts, CEO of Newbury BID, and Sasi Krishnan, a self-employed cookery teacher based in and around Newbury, will be the guest speakers at the Get Connected event on Thursday, March 6.
“Everyone is welcome to come along and attend this celebratory event,’’ said Newbury Metro Bank local business manager Khizer Iqbal.
“As a signatory of the Investing in Women Code, we actively support women in business and we are looking to celebrate International Women’s Day in all our stores.
“We’re committed to supporting women with access to tools, resources and finance and supporting them in the three key areas they struggle with namely networking, funding and mentoring.”
The event runs from 9am to 10.30am. Free tickets, which are limited, can be booked at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/get-connected-newbury-tickets-1155814465179
