Barratt Homes golf day raises over £17,000 for Stroke Association
Rob Hart, managing director of Barratt Homes Bristol joined commercial director Mark Dee at Gloucester Golf Club for a charity match which raised over £17,000 for the housebuilder’s new charity partner the Stroke Association.
Barratt has donated over £80,000 to charities in and around Bristol over the past year, including £26,000 to its outgoing charity of the year, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, which supports children and young people who have lost a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.
“It’s been inspiring meeting and working with local charities across the year, and we’re incredibly excited about our plans to support the Stroke Association and the amazing work they do,” said Rob (pictured right) who also welcomed Barratt staff and some of the company’s subcontractors to the special fundraising event.
Marvin White, who heads up fundraising in this region for the Stroke Association says the charity are thrilled Barratt Homes Bristol has chosen to support them this year.
“Our work is only possible with the generosity of supporters,” said Marvin.
“Stroke is the fourth biggest killer in the UK and impacts not only on the stroke survivor but their colleagues, family and friends.
“We want to see a world where there are fewer strokes and all those touched by stroke get the help they need.
“Barratt’s enthusiasm for that mission is really moving and we can’t wait to work with them.”
