Chippenham’s Good Energy ranked in the top 30 large employers

Renewable energy firm Good Energy has been ranked 27th in a list of the country’s best employers and one of the top 10 best companies to work for in the South West of the UK by Best Companies.

The Chippenham-based firm achieved a prestigious 3-star ranking, the highest level of accreditation awarded by Best Companies, recognising its status as a world-class employer for the third consecutive year.

Good Energy earned the distinction of the 10th best employer in the South West and placed third within the utilities sector nationally.

The independent organisation, Best Companies, conduct anonymous employee surveys, gathering insights on various aspects of the organisation, including company culture, development opportunities, and management styles.

The aggregated results are then analysed and compiled to determine an overall ranking.

These rankings highlight Good Energy’s commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for its employees as it continues to expand and diversify within the industry.

Over the past few years, Good Energy has significantly expanded its workforce, thanks in part to its strategic acquisitions in the solar and heat pump installation sectors.

The firm says growth has been accompanied by a sustained focus on employee development and fostering a strong, positive company culture.

Good Energy prioritises transparent and honest communication, employee engagement, career development, and work-life balance, all of which contribute to Good Energy’s success to remain a top employer in the South West region.

Fran Woodward, chief operating officer, Good Energy said: “At Good Energy, we’re deeply committed to our people, knowing they are essential to driving forward our mission for a cleaner, greener future.

“This recognition underscores the values we live by and reinforces our dedication to creating a workplace that enables people to be at their best.”
