Filestream MD appointed as judge in two major business awards
The managing director of document management specialist Filestream has been appointed as a judge in two major regional business awards.
Paul Day will judge entries in the South West Business & Community Awards and the Thames Valley Business & Community Awards from Great British Expos.
Berkshire-based Filestream is sponsoring both competitions.
Paul brings valuable insight from years of experience in the industry and a keen understanding of the challenges businesses face today.
He has an impressive background in cybersecurity, document management, and GDPR.
He has played a pivotal role in its transformation from a hardware supplier to a leading provider of document management software, working with renowned clients including Anglia Farmers, University of Hull, Carnival UK, and BNP Paribas.
“It’s a privilege to support both Business & Community Awards as a judge and sponsor,” Paul said.
“These awards celebrate the best of what businesses and communities can achieve, and I’m looking forward to seeing the inspiring stories and contributions from the region’s entrepreneurs, charities, and organisations.”
Now in their eighth year, the awards have become a flagship event for both regions, providing businesses, entrepreneurs, charities, and community groups with a platform to highlight their successes.
Alec Jones-Hall, Director of Great British Expos, said “We’re thrilled to have Paul and Filestream involved as sponsors and a judge.
“Filestream’s dedication to supporting businesses aligns perfectly with the values of the awards.
“Paul’s expertise and passion will be invaluable to the judging process, and we’re excited about the positive impact his involvement will bring.”
The awards in each region attract over 1,000 nominations and are judged by an independent panel of industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and regional influencers.
Categories include Business of the Year, New Start-ups, Innovators, Entrepreneurs, and Community Champions, alongside special recognitions like Charity of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.
Winners of the the Thames Valley Business & Community Awards will be announced on Friday, February 28 at The Hilton, Reading, Berkshire, while the winners of the South West Business & Community Awards will be announced Wednesday, March 12 at The Doubletree by Hilton, Swindon.
