Wiltshire business management firm names new CEO

Business management and technical consultancy SA Group has appointed Ben Mason as CEO to accelerate transformation and guide the company through their strategic expansion.

The Trowbridge-based firm says it is entering a critical phase of evolution across both capability and market sectors, and Ben’s appointment marks the start of a refreshed strategic growth plan.

As part of the managed handover from his predecessor, founder Steve Jackson, Ben will focus on strengthening core delivery, opening new market opportunities, and ensuring the business scales with the same high standards their customers expect.

Ben said: “SA Group is an exceptional organisation with talented, committed people who consistently deliver high quality outcomes in complex environments. My focus now is to enable them to go further — investing in new capabilities, opening new markets, and driving the next phase of the company’s growth with real pace and intent.”

Ben brings twenty years of defence sector experience across FTSE 100 and 250 organisations, most recently serving as managing director for QinetiQ in Germany.

He is a seasoned commercial practitioner with multiple prior director level roles, significant people and performance focused skills.

As a former UK barrister, Ben combines analytical and legal expertise with real world operational experience from his service as a Combat Soldier in HM Forces.

This breadth of strategic, commercial and operational capability is directly aligned to SA Group’s ambition to scale, strengthen delivery and expand into new markets.

Chairman Ewen Murchison said: “We are delighted to welcome Ben to SA Group.

“He brings the ambition, energy and leadership we need to build on our foundations and accelerate our next phase of growth.”
