Thrings grows residential property team with qualification of ‘outstanding’ new lawyers
Law firm Thrings has strengthened its residential property service with two new lawyers, qualifying into the team through different routes.
Having completed their training this summer, Jess Fry and Deanna Graddon-Davis become permanent fixtures on the team, bringing a wealth of experience and energy to their new roles.
Qualifying through Thrings’ trainee solicitor scheme, where she undertook seats in residential property, succession and tax, commercial property and commercial dispute resolution, Jess will be working across Thrings’ offices in Bath and Swindon.
Meanwhile, Deanna continues with the team in the firm’s Lydney office, having completed her training through the Cilex Professional Qualification (CPQ) route, alongside her role as a conveyancing paralegal over the past seven years.
As qualified lawyers, both will continue to support the firm’s clients with clear, practical and tailored advice as they navigate buying, selling and re-mortgaging property.
The appointments come as Thrings’ residential property team continues to grow its national profile, having been named a “national leader” for high-value residential real estate in the 2026 Chambers High Net Worth Guide.
Welcoming the pair’s qualification, Simon Hore, partner and Thrings’ training principal, said: “A massive congratulations to both Jess and Deanna for taking this significant step in their careers. We’re delighted they will be continuing with the firm in their new roles.
“Both have been outstanding throughout their training, showing real skill and dedication, and they will be fantastic assets now they’ve qualified – providing an already high-performing team even greater strength in depth.
“We are committed to providing the next generation of lawyers with support through a range of qualification opportunities and it is fantastic to see them advance in the legal profession at the same time, having come through very different routes.
“Our continued high retention rates on qualification is something we are very proud of, with newly qualified lawyers wanting to stay on and continue their career with us.”
