Professional services group makes business tax partner appointment
Professional services group S&W has appointed Alexandra Bray as partner in its Bristol-based business tax team.
Alexandra brings over 15 years’ experience in the profession and re-joins S&W following four and half years at KPMG.
Prior to her first period at S&W – then part of Evelyn Partners – she also worked at PwC.
Over her career, Alexandra has worked with a wide range of businesses across sectors, advising leadership teams on complex financial, commercial, and transactional tax challenges.
This appointment forms part of a broader period of investment in the senior team in S&W’s Bristol office.
Graham Charlton joined as a partner in its private client tax services in January, Dan Goodall joined as a consulting partner this month, and in addition, Lynne Blakey (consulting) and Sabial Hanif (corporate finance), were both recently promoted to partner in the Bristol office, further strengthening the firm’s regional leadership and advisory capability.
Alexandra will be focused on enhancing S&W’s business tax presence in the South West, working closely with colleagues across the firm’s regional and national teams to strengthen market relationships and deliver high‑impact strategic advice to clients.
The appointment continues the expansion of S&W’s business tax team, reflecting the firm’s strategy to build a leading national and regional advisory platform supporting clients through every stage of their business lifecycle.
“I am delighted to be re-joining S&W at such an exciting point in its growth journey,” said Alexandra.
“The firm has an exceptional reputation for supporting ambitious businesses, and I look forward to working with clients across Bristol and the South West to deliver commercially grounded advice and support businesses as they navigate pivotal moments in their growth journey.”
Katherine Colledge, partner and head of Bristol business tax, S&W, commented: “It’s fantastic to have Alexandra on board and I’m very much looking forward to working with her again.
“She has a genuinely client-focused approach that aligns perfectly with us at S&W, and her energy and experience will be a real asset to the team as we continue to strengthen our presence in the South West.”
Helen Bassett, regional managing partner for Bristol, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Alexandra back to our growing Bristol office.
“Her appointment comes during a busy period of significant investment in our senior team, with a number of new partners joining and progressing within the business, including recent appointments such as Graham Charlton and the promotions of Lynne Blakey and Sabial Hanif.
“I’m also proud that of the 14 Partners we now have in our office, seven are women – a testament to our commitment to building a diverse and inclusive Bristol leadership team.”
