New BDO for South West property specialist
Property specialist Assetz Capital has continued its expansion in the South West with the appointment of business development manager Amy Salomon.
Amy brings extensive experience from the new homes property market, having worked closely with developers, housebuilders and purchasers throughout the marketing and sales process.
Her understanding of how new-build developments are positioned, brought to market and sold will support Assetz Capital’s ambition to identify and engage more SME developers at an earlier stage in their journey, says the firm.
Amy will focus on building new developer and intermediary relationships, identifying prospective schemes and introducing developers to Assetz Capital’s development finance expertise.
The appointment forms part of the lender’s ambition to surpass 1,000 homes supported across the South West and South Wales by the end of 2028.
Amy said: “My background in new homes agency has given me a close understanding of the opportunities and challenges developers face when bringing new homes to market.
“I have seen how important pricing, specification, local demand and sales strategy are to the success of a scheme.
“I am looking forward to applying that experience at an earlier stage in the development process and helping developers access the funding they need to move their projects forward.
Andrew Fraser, chief commercial officer at Assetz Capital, said: “Amy’s appointment is another important step in our strategy for the South West.
“We want to build a team that is visible in the market, actively prospecting for new opportunities and developing long-term relationships with the SME developers responsible for delivering much-needed housing.”
