Lawyer announced as chairman of Generation for Change South West

A lawyer specialising in construction and engineering is to take the helm of Generation for Change – the professional voice of young people in the UK built environment industry.

Lizzy Painter is a solicitor at Royds Withy King, which has offices in Bath, Swindon, and Marlborough.

G4C aims to drive change in the industry, through the development and connection of future industry leaders.

G4C has a network of 10 regions across the country. G4C South West is part of Constructing Excellence South West.

“I am delighted to be appointed as the new Chair of G4C South West,” said Lizzy.

“I look forward to expanding on our message and goals, as we continue to represent and promote the breadth of passion and opportunity in the industry across this region.”

Around £11.5 million will be invested in technical training over the next three years to address the region’s construction skills shortage.
