Freeths expands commercial dispute resolution team in Bristol
Law firm Freeths has expanded its commercial dispute resolution team in Bristol as the office reveals a 37 per cent revenue increase over the last year.
Joe Pratt, senior associate and Daisy McCaulder, associate join respectively from Womble Bond Dickinson and TLT LLP, continuing the growth of the firm’s national team which is renowned for launching the landmark High Court victory for its 555 sub-postmasters exposing Britain’s largest miscarriage of justice.
The group action led to the quashing of hundreds of criminal convictions and the ongoing public enquiry being established.
Joe brings extensive experience in complex commercial disputes acting for a range of clients from manufacturers to those in the financial services sector.
Daisy specialises in financial services disputes, including professional negligence claims, and – says the firm – her wealth of sector knowledge far outstrips her years of experience.
Managing partner of Freeths Bristol, Adam Watson, said: “Since opening our Bristol office, strategic hires have helped bolster our portfolio of services, leading to some impressive results for our clients.
“In our fifth consecutive year of prosperity, I’m confident that these new hires will only cement our leading position across the region.”
Kelly Whittaker, head of the Bristol commercial dispute resolution team, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Joe and Daisy to the team.
“Together they will provide invaluable strength and depth to the team, and I look forward working with them to continue to grow and develop our dispute resolution offering.”
