IT specialist strengthens team at Systemagic

Experienced technician Scott Cotterell has become the latest member of the team at Systemagic, one of the leading IT companies in the South West.

Scott has taken on the role of Senior IT Technician at the company which operates across Wiltshire, Bath, Bristol and Somerset.

His appointment marks a return to the company where he worked in a more junior role more than a decade ago. At that time, managing director James Eades was Senior IT Technician.

Scott said: “I’m delighted to be working alongside James again and the rest of the team. I hope my experience over 20 years will help us all continue to provide excellent customer service. Customers can feel confident we can provide the best solution to their requirements and we can react quickly with any day-to-day issues.”

James is thrilled he’s been able to bring Scott back into the Systemagic team.

He said: “It’s a privilege to be in a position, as a business leader, to be able to recruit someone with Scott’s track record and bring his experience and expertise to bear with all of our customers.”

Scott has worked in several IT roles throughout his career including eight years at the Ministry of Defence i and several years working as an IT manager at Norton Radstock College near Radstock, Somerset. He’s taken on his new role at a time of expansion for Systemagic – already in January the team have taken on 21 extra service contracts.

James said: “This month has, in just a few days, been one of our best for many years for new business. We’ve taken on clients across Wiltshire and in Bath and we believe 2016 is going to be very exciting for us.”

At home, Scott is married with a four-year old son. He’s a keen musician and is well known as the lead singer in punk band The Setbacks. He’s also a keen surfer and mountain biker.

Systemagic is an IT specialist company offering a range of services including full IT support, hosted services including backup and email, broadband and superfast internet, telephone systems and hardware leasing.

The company has won the Micro Employer of the Year in the Bristol and Bath Apprentice Awards and last year managing director James Eades was shortlisted as Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Bath Business Awards.
