Apprentice makes the grade at Systemagic
Computer whizz Will Barnes has completed his apprenticeship in IT and been taken on as a full-time technician by Wiltshire company Systemagic.
The 20-year-old from Chippenham was awarded NVQ level 2 in IT, a course which he studied at the City of Bath College.
James Eades, managing director, at Systemagic, said: “Will is a real asset to the business and I’m proud to take him on as a fully-fledged member of our team.
“I’m a passionate supporter of apprenticeships as they give young people a great opportunity to earn while they learn. They gain real commercial experience as well as further education in their chosen field.”
Will, a former pupil of Abbeyfields School, Chippenham said: “IT was always my favourite subject at school, I enjoyed it and it just came naturally to me. To secure a full-time position with such a considerate employer as Systemagic is fantastic.”
