Loungers nominated for multiple awards at ‘The Hospitality Oscars’
Bristol-based hospitality chain Loungers has been nominated for four awards at The MCA Hospitality Awards, the annual celebration of the very best in the UK’s food and drink sector which is known as ‘The Hospitality Oscars’.
Lounge cafe bars have been nominated in the Best Concept category while parent company Loungers plc has been nominated for Best Pub/Bar Company.
Roadside diner chain Brightside – which was launched last year and currently has three sites in Devon and Cornwall – has been nominated in two categories: Best New Opening and Emerging Concept.
Loungers operates 204 Lounges and 36 Cosy Club venues across the UK and has stated its ambition to operate 600 Lounges and 65 Cosy Clubs.
In November the company published six-month sales figures of £146.6 million – up 22 per cent – and profits before tax of £3.9 million.
