Thrings Link launched to strengthen collaboration between law firms

Thrings Link, a new national referral network connecting law firms across the UK to deliver smarter, faster client service, has launched in Bristol this month.

Founded by South West-based firm Thrings, the initiative is designed by lawyers, for lawyers, to provide its users with a safe pair of hands in circumstances where they can’t help them directly.

Whether it’s due to a conflict of interest, limited capacity, or a matter outside their area of expertise, matters can be redirected through the dedicated Thrings Link team, building trust through collaboration, with the client’s needs always the priority.

Launching the network at their Bristol office on Wednesday, 15 October, Thrings welcomed more than 40 people from firms across the region to hear about the benefits of joining Thrings Link which has already welcomed seven firms and is expecting to be joined by dozens more.

Leading the initiative is Jo Campbell, Thrings’ head of business development, whose extensive expertise improving client experience and managing professional referral networks is backed by her background as a practicing solicitor for more than 20 years.

Membership is free of charge and open to law firms and legal practitioners nationwide, with all referrals handled quickly – often within minutes – and guided through the process with clarity and care.

Key membership benefits include:

  • Non-poaching reassurance – Thrings commits to protecting the referring firm’s client relationship
  • Optional fee-share arrangements, where permitted by SRA rules
  • Fast referral response – the dedicated team ensures rapid client contact
  • Reciprocal work referrals from Thrings where appropriate
  • Free access to webinars, seminars, newsletters, and informal advice from Thrings’ legal and management teams

“We know that every firm, regardless of its size or specialism, will sometimes find itself unable to assist a client directly,” said Jo.

“Through Thrings Link, we’re making those moments easier – giving lawyers a straightforward, compliant and relationship-focused way to refer work with confidence.

“The legal profession works best when firms collaborate rather than compete unnecessarily, and our network allows everyone involved – firms and clients alike – to benefit, with lawyers knowing their clients and their relationships are in safe hands, wherever they are in the UK.”
