NATO places orders with military kit firm Avon Technologies
A Wiltshire-based manufacturer of personal protection gear for the military and emergency services has landed two orders from NATO, the company said today (Wednesday).
The respirators and protective masks will be used by members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in their war against Russian aggressors.
Updating shareholders via the London Stock Exchange, Melksham-based Avon Technologies said it had upgraded its financial outlook from single-digit growth to 10 per cent or more.
The company also announced it had signed framework contracts with two European navies for rebreather systems used by divers.
And the firm said it was continuing to supply the US military with helmets, respirators, and underwater rebreathers.
Jos Sclater, CEO of Avon Technologies plc, said: “We are proud of the contribution that Avon continues to provide to the security of NATO nations.
“The additional orders for provision of respiratory protection to Ukrainian war fighters and rebreathers for military divers allows both users to operate with confidence, knowing they are protected against increasingly prevalent threats in the harshest and most demanding environments.”
