Landmark event hails new chapter for Heywood House
Office and co-working space Heywood House has launched a business seminar series, Heywood House Talks, with General Sir Nick Carter speaking at the inaugural event last week.
The series of networking events is hosted at the classic country estate where inspirational leaders speak on an array of topics.
By bringing together various local businesses, the events will offer exciting networking opportunities for those who attend.
Last week’s talk was given by former Chief of the Defence Staff General Sir Nick Carter on The Global Strategic Context – The Impact on UK Defence.
The talk was chaired by former Defence Equipment & Support CEO Sir Simon Bollom and was followed by a Q&A and networking drinks.
Attendees included leaders from the likes of Babcock International, QinetiQ, Chemring, and Lockheed Martin UK.
Heywood House landlord, Chris da Costa, said: “Since the start of the pandemic, businesses have been crying out for that vital face to face networking time they’ve been deprived of for so long. Heywood House Talks can offer this and we’ll be announcing more events in due course.
“This is an exciting new chapter for Heywood House and shows we can be an important hub for local commerce.”
Deputy Lieutenant for Wiltshire, Air Vice-Marshal David Couzens, said: “Defence is rooted in Wiltshire’s history and is a key driver of growth in the region.
“As we face tough economic headwinds, networking and collaboration are more necessary than ever and events like this can act as a catalyst for that.”
Heywood House, near Westbury, is an historic country estate transformed into dedicated office and co-working space, offering meeting rooms, conference facilities, beautiful grounds, on site catering, a members’ café, and virtual offices.
