Empowerment coach takes the helm at Swindon networking group

A Swindon-based business networking group has appointed an emotional empowerment coach as its new president.

Sally Stockreisser, founder of Coaching Illumination and a professional speaker, has taken over as president of BNI White Horse, which serves businesses across Swindon and Chippenham.

BNI, or Business Network International, operates more than 500 chapters across the UK, with more than 13,000 members. The organisation helps local firms grow through trusted referrals and regular in-person networking.

BNI White Horse launched in November 2024 and meets weekly at Broome Manor Golf Complex in Swindon. The group provides a forum for professionals to share opportunities, advice and support.

Sally, a former teacher who lives near Chippenham, joined the group in January after seeking a professional network to support the growth of her business.

“Being a coach, it was important to me to make credible connections with other business people who are caring and looking to build supportive, trusting professional relationships,” she said.

She said membership had already delivered significant benefits.

“My BNI group has provided me with invaluable business education, support and personal growth. To be part of such a warm community, built on connection and trust, provides an enrichment to my business week that I deeply appreciate and value.”

Sally takes on the presidency for the next year, succeeding Sally Holland, a partner at PPS Chartered Accountants. She described the appointment as both an honour and a challenge.

“It’s a great honour, but I knew it would be a team effort to continue to support this group’s growth,” she said.

“We have a fantastic group of people covering many sectors and I look forward to continuing the good work already done by Sally Holland.

“It’s a privilege to lead such a wonderful group of individuals and I’m so excited about what we can achieve together through collaboration and support.”

Sally has run Coaching Illumination for four years, following a career in teaching. Her consultancy works with business owners, leaders and managers to address emotional fatigue and intensity through her Emotional Rebuild Framework and one-to-one coaching.

Her appointment comes as BNI White Horse continues to establish itself as a networking hub for firms across the Swindon and Chippenham area, connecting professionals from a wide range of sectors through weekly meetings and referral opportunities.
