Law firm recognised again in prestigious Legal 500 guide

The family law team at Goughs Solicitors has again been recognised in the market-leading guide to law firms in the south-west.

The Legal 500 is widely regarded as a definitive list of leading UK and worldwide law firms, and to be awarded its listing Goughs had to undergo a thorough and rigorous process.

This included interviews with key employees, clients, and contacts; a detailed analysis of the firm’s specialist areas of practice; and the submission of detailed case studies of work undertaken in the preceding year.

The Legal 500 states that Goughs’ work highlights include negotiating a prenuptial agreement for a marriage abroad, securing 50 percent of the asset share in a cohabitation case where all assets were initially in a former partner’s name, excluding non-matrimonial property from a divorce settlement, and assisting with a cross-border relocation dispute regarding children.
