Close shave for Marlborough as Turkish barber moves to town

A Turkish barber has taken the lease on an historic building in central Marlborough, in a deal negotiated by commercial property agents Kavanaghs.

Mustafa Dolasir, who is expanding The Turkish Job Barbers from his Andover base, has opened an outlet at Unit 3 of the quaint Old Hughenden Yard, an historic alley of independent businesses.

The open plan unit with high ceilings and prominent display window was let at the asking rent of £9,000 PA.

Stephen Brickell, commercial property manager at Kavanaghs, said: “This landmark parade is a welcome addition to our expanding management portfolio and the letting reaffirms that the there is strong demand in the retail sector for good quality property particularly from niche occupiers.

“We are continuing to receive enquires for property in Marlborough and similar towns throughout the south and west and would welcome the opportunity to speak to landlords about any property they have which could benefit from our comprehensive management and agency service.”
