Energy supplier to move HQ to new Bristol offices

Bristol-based energy supplier OVO is to move to new premises in the city next year.

The firm will vacate its current headquarters at 1 Rivergate to become the first tenant of the new Crescent building in Temple Quay.

The energy supplier has 4,500 employees, with nearly 1,000 people working in Bristol. It has around four million customers across the UK.

OVO is taking 22,000 square feet of space in the building, which it says has “been designed with both people and planet in mind.”

By reusing the existing structure, the building avoided 3,200 tons of CO2e, helping to lower its carbon footprint. The building also includes energy-efficient systems, more sustainable materials, and a bike-friendly design.

Julia Diggs, VP for people at OVO, said: “We’ve been working hard searching for a space that truly reflects our culture, our commitment to zero-carbon living, and the way we work.

“Bristol has been OVO’s home since 2014 and we’re proud to be part of the community. We’ll be collaborating with our people to ensure the office design serves our people and needs today while evolving with us to meet the demands of the future”

Paul Richardson, investment manager at CEG said: “It’s fantastic that OVO will be Crescent’s first occupier and we look forward to welcoming the team.

“Crescent is designed to create a productive environment for those who work here and I’m sure employees will appreciate the collaborative and healthy environment we have created.”
