Developer Acorn names new head of land for Bristol
Developer Acorn Property Group has promoted Mike Ware to the newly created role of head of land for both the Bristol and Exeter regions.
As well as developing in its own right, Acorn works as a joint venture partner with landowners, local authorities, and charities among a wide variety of partners.
A regeneration specialist, the company creates a combination of residential, mixed-use refurbishments and new-build schemes.
Mike will continue his role in the Bristol region, as well as now focusing on identifying opportunities across the Exeter region to assist with the growth plans for the area.
“Having started my career at Acorn as a graduate, I am excited to continue progressing through the company and start working across the Exeter region,” said Mike.
“We have had a busy six months in both regions, securing a number of sites during a difficult period and there is a strong drive to continue pursuing new opportunities,” said Mike.
“In Exeter we will be looking for more brownfield regeneration sites on the back of our award-winning scheme on Topsham Road, as well as focussing on short- and medium-term greenfield opportunities across the South Hams, Teignbridge and around Devon, in particular the east of the county.
“Our Bristol team also wants to develop more brownfield sites around the city, as well as expanding our presence promoting and building housing schemes across North Somerset, Wiltshire, B&NES, South Somerset and the surrounding areas,” he added.
“Our opportunity-led approach means we’re open to considering a broad range of sites and deal structures, which makes my role especially interesting as every site is different and we always take a fresh approach looking at every opportunity on its merits.”
