TV’s Home Genie to appear at National Self Build & Renovation Show

TV property expert Georgina Burnett, known to many as The Home Genie, will be making a special appearance at The National Self Build & Renovation Show in Swindon next month.

Georgina is a familiar face on TV shows including TV’s This Morning and Love Your Weekend.

She combines decades of presenting experience with genuine hands-on renovation expertise.

Appearing at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre on Friday, October 9 Georgina’s talk romises practical advice, creative ideas and honest insights for anyone looking to transform their home.

The packed programme includes over 25 expert talks, live demonstrations, guided tours of the NSBRC’s unique life-size educational exhibits and free one-to-one consultations.

Dedicated sessions covering funding and finance, finding land, project management, the latest building regulations, planning, VAT reclaim and sourcing reliable trades will help answer many of the questions that arise during a self build or renovation project.

Visitors can enjoy thought-provoking panel discussions exploring two of the industry’s biggest talking points ‘heat & energy’ – and ‘overheating homes’ – offering practical insights from leading experts.

Delegates can learn about ventilation, heat recovery, battery storage and rainwater harvesting, and there are course taster sessions including The NSBRC Guide to Renovation Projects and The NSBRC Guide to Planning Permission.

Meanwhile, expert-led guided tours will take visitors through the NSBRC’s impressive educational areas, including the Renovation House, New Build Zone, Passivhaus Exhibits and Retrofit Zone, showcasing real-life construction methods, renewable technologies and best practice for modern homes.
