NSBRC’s eco workshop explains how to stay cool in a warming climate

How to stay cool in a warming climate. That’s the knowledge being offered by Swindon’s National Self Build and Renovation Centre during its Eco Workshop on Saturday, August 9.

During the event, delegates will learn how heat pumps can keep you cool. They’ll also look at solar panels, ventilation systems, and building materials designed to save energy and keep you cool in summer, and warm in winter.

The workshop will also look at the government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme, which is offering homeowners grants of £7,500 to replace fossil fuel heating with low-carbon alternatives like heat pumps or biomass boilers.

Delegates can learn about the latest EV charging technologies.

Tickets for the event, which runs between 10am and 4pm, are free and available from https://www.nsbrc.co.uk/whats-on/our-workshops/eco-workshop/
