Derelict historic house last used as offices comes up for sale with Alder King
A Grade II listed building in Chippenham, last used as offices but derelict “for many years” has been offered for sale as part of a plan for 24 new homes.
Rowden Hill House was built in the early 1800s and was last used as offices for the adjoining Chippenham Community Hospital.
Now the prominent building is on the market as part of a 2.6 acre development plot with a guide price of £2.5 million.
The plot also includes the Grade II listed 51 Rowden Hill and 49 Rowden Hill, which is described as being “beyond its economic life”.
Under proposals, Rowden Hill House and 51 Rowden Hill would be converted into four homes each, alongside the construction of 16 new houses.
The development plot is being marketed by the Swindon office of property consultants Alder King.
