New veterinary practice for Chippenham
Chippenham is to get a new veterinary practice, following completion of the letting of 41-42 New Road. The property has been let by Huw Thomas Commercial to Chalkland Vets Ltd who are currently fitting out the property and aim to open for business in April 2019.
The owners of the practice, Selina Walters and Phillipa Hunt, are small animal specialists and with more and more houses being built and planned in and around Chippenham, saw the opportunity to set up their new business in the town.
Having been granted planning consent for a change of use on the former office building, the lease was completed in January.
Huw Thomas, of Huw Thomas Commercial, said: “The property is a listed building, so aside from change of use, the vets required listed building consent that took longer than anticipated to obtain, but I’m delighted for Selina and Phillipa that everything is now in place and they can start their exciting new venture.”
The property provides approximately 1,955 sq ft over two floors with an extensive car park at the rear and has been let on a new lease. Work is now underway to provide consulting rooms on the ground floor with office and ancillary space on the first floor.
