Carter Jonas offers developers rare opportunity to recreate Georgian terrace in Bath

Property consultancy Carter Jonas has launched a rare development opportunity to recreate a Georgian terrace in Bath.

The site – with detailed planning consent for seven three-storey terrace houses – has come on the market in the city most renowned for Georgian architecture.

Lansdown View, in the popular Bath suburb of Twerton, 1.5 miles from the city centre, , is a 0.74 acre former allotment site.

There is no requirement for affordable housing or Community Infrastructure Levy.

The site is close to many facilities including schools, shops, pubs and restaurants. Trains from nearby Oldfield Road railway station travel into Bath city centre in just four minutes.

Steve Morris, partner, planning and development, at Carter Jonas, said: “We are very pleased to offer this rare opportunity to the market. Georgian-style terraces are not only extremely popular but are believed to represent the epitome of good urban design.

“With detailed planning consent already in place Lansdown View is set to be extremely popular.”

A microsite containing a title, plan, title register, floor plan and transfer of title has been created, and access details are available from the selling agent.

The landowners are seeking to dispose of the land via informal tender, the closing date for which is noon on Wednesday, December 7.
