AI firm grows from two-person startup to team of 150
A Bristol-based AI firm has undergone a rapid period of expansion, growing from a two-person startup to a multi-million-pound tech powerhouse with a team of 150 in just five years.
That growth has made data and AI consultancy Snap Analytics one of the fastest-growing companies in the South West tech sphere.
Snap Analytics was founded on the goal of helping businesses unlock value from their data, an increasingly complex challenge in a world of disconnected systems and an overwhelming glut of information.
“Businesses really struggle to connect data and get insights from across the organisation,” said David Rice, CEO of Snap Analytics.
Snap Analytics launched in 2020 as a business specialising in data platforms and engineering, helping organisations tackle core data challenges such as enabling growth through data-driven strategies, to supporting informed decision-making and navigating complex and regulatory landscapes.
Following the explosion of AI , Snap Analytics has been at the forefront, helping clients leverage AI, Generative AI and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities to create value. Snap Analytics’ focus for their clients is on building robust data platforms that set them up for the future. According to David, “AI is at the forefront of every single conversation we have now.”
Surging forward on the rapid rise of AI, Snap Analytics’ growth has been phenomenal. With year-on-year growth estimated between 130 per cent to 140 per cent this year.
Innovate UK Business Growth was pleased to deliver hands-on, bespoke support during Snap Analytics’ early journey, led by Innovation and Growth Specialist, James Snelgrove.
This included a referral to a West of England Combined Authority (WECA) grant where Snap Analytics secured £15,000. This grant was instrumental in funding website rebranding activities, significantly improving their online visibility and presentation.
Snap Analytics also benefited from business strategy support workshops that helped them frame their current position, focus on key areas, and identify and address potential risks and issues.
“The support from Innovate UK Business Growth helped us to frame where we were at and what to focus on, what not to focus on, and what risks and issues we needed to address and solve,” said David.
