Four Bristol tech companies secure Innovate UK grants to expand
Four Bristol-based tech companies have secured grants from the government-backed Innovate UK to grow their businesses.
AirGiants, Mach D Trading, SpatialCortex and PyTerra are among the 233 “trailblazing” award winners who will share a funding pot of £6.2 million.
AirGiants are the first creative studio in the world to make soft robots on a large scale. Their nine-metre-long robotic snail, Luma (pictured) was a highlight of last weekend’s science event Festival of Tomorrow in Swindon.
Mach D Trading is working on an easy-to-use crypto trading platform which makes crypto currency trading safe for everyone.
SpatialCortex has developed novel wearable sensors that attach to workwear, along with AI analytics to help workplaces precisely understand ergonomic risks faced by staff in real operational environments.
PyTerra is helping tenants in Bristol’s private rented sector to understand how they can be incentivised to initiate energy efficiency measures in their rented homes with its platform MyGreenDoor.
